It's been a while since I've updated this blog so I thought today should be the day! With cold weather upon us and Holidays a thing of the past, it's time to get myself motivated to make new quilts. These are the first ones done with two more to finish soon.

New York Beauties are one of my favorite designs. I love to play with bright fabrics and new layouts to bring out the gorgeous blocks.

When things get boring, I like to add whimsey to my day. That is how this fun quilt came about!

After a long winter, I finished a couple of new bright, colorful quilts. I had so many small pieces of fabric left from other projects that I decided to make them into an original design. Working from the smallest pieces, I made this Medallion Quilt one section at a time. It took me a few months of stops and starts but I finally am happy with the outcome. I have mixed folk art with modern patterns for a unique new look!!

After a long gap I finally have some new quilts for sale in my Etsy store.

The second one is the quilt that was lost and is now found! It will be on exhibit in September at the NE Air Museum Show.

I am sorry to report that the last quilt I posted picture of has been lost in the mail.  Two months of work and all that fabric, lost!  I added black diamonds after taking these pictures so it looks different now.  It was on it's way to be quilted when it was lost.  When you put your heart and soul into a quilt and lose it, it's like worrying when your child is late coming home.  I am praying that the person who has it will be honest and return it to either address or the Post Office.

UPDATE This quilt was found and it was returned to me. Happy Ending!

I'm working on a new quilt that I think will be gorgeous when done. Each block has 72 pieces in multiple fabrics.  I've been fussy cutting some fabrics to obtain secondary designs.  It's fun to see how they all come together!
